Chili Sambal Recipes

Ingredients : |
25 small fresh red chilies, stalks removed
2 cloves garlic
1 small onion, chopped
2 tbsp brown sugar
185 ml water
1 tsp corn flour
2 tbsp white vinegar |
Method :
- Place chilies, garlic and onion in
a food processor or blender and process to make a paste.
- Transfer to a small saucepan, stir
in sugar, water, corn flour and vinegar and bring to the boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until
mixture thickens.
- Remove pan from heat and set aside
to cool.
- Transfer mixture to a warm
sterilized jar.
- Seal and label when cold.
- Store in the refrigerator until
required.
Makes 1 x 125 ml
