Ingredients :

1/4 tsp
1/4 cup
1 tbsp
egg whites
cream of tartar
vanilla
sugar
sponge cake dessert cups
chocolate-coated peppermint ice cream patties
crushed peppermint-stick candy
dash salt
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar, vanilla and salt to soft peaks.
Gradually add sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
Place cake cups on cutting board; top each with ice cream patty.
Cover with meringue, spreading thicker over ice cream and thinner around cake; seal edges at bottom.
Sprinkle meringue with candy.
Bake at 500° for 2-3 minutes or till browned.
Serve at once.
